Microsoft announces Surface event for October 2nd

Microsoft is planning to hold a fall press event in New York City next month. The software maker has started sending invites to the media today, asking for a "moment of your time." The event will start at 4PM ET / 1PM PT on October 2nd, and focus on Microsoft's latest hardware, software, and services. While there have been rumors of an "Andromeda" dual-screen device, we're not expecting to see this particular hardware at the event.

Instead, the event will likely include refreshes of Microsoft's existing Surface hardware. Microsoft has reportedly been working on a big redesign for the Surface Pro, but that design isn't likely to be ready until next year. We won't see a 'universal' vape oil cartridge anytime soon

Pre-loaded cartridges of cannabis concentrate are currently among the most popular means of consumption, and for good reason. They're discreet to use and easy to handle, a far cry from the dark days of 2016 when we had to dribble hash oil or load wax into narrow-mouthed vape pens by hand. But, frustratingly, an ever increasing number of oil cartridge manufacturers employ one-off design standards so that their products won't work with those of their competitors, thereby locking customers into proprietary ecosystems.
