Instagram won’t alert people if you screenshot their stories

Instagram confirmed to BuzzFeed News today that it's no longer testing a feature that would have let people see when someone took a screenshot of their story. This is incredibly good news for all creepers, myself included. The company said in February that it was testing this feature and that some users would receive a warning when they tried to screenshot something for the first time: "Next time you take a screenshot or screen recording, the person who posted the story will be able to see it."

Snapchat famously tells users if their content has been screenshotted, and it seemed like Instagram was going to steal that functionality. I'm relieved it's decided not to do so. Of course, you can always still see who has watched your story by...
