Peter Thiel reportedly looking into launching a Fox News competitor


Venture capitalist Peter Thiel is reportedly planning to launch a cable news network that would act as a competitor to Fox News, according to a report from BuzzFeed News. The idea has been in the works for months, the report says, with Thiel working closely on the project with disgraced Fox News chief Roger Ailes, who resigned from the company over repeated and longstanding allegations of sexual harassment.

BuzzFeed now reports that Thiel is going forward with the project even after Ailes’ death back in May.
