Uber now lets you pay for rides with Venmo

You can already pay for Uber trips using your PayPal balance, so it shouldn't come as a surprise that Uber is now adding the same option for Venmo, which is owned by PayPal. Both Uber and Uber Eats customers will be able to cover their rides (or food deliveries) through Venmo. Unfortunately, this payment method isn't quite as simple as paying with a card or even PayPal. Rather than handling everything in the Uber app, you're sent over to the Venmo app to complete the charge.

On the plus side, that makes splitting payments with your friends a little more familiar and easy to manage. Venmo has also added custom Uber emoji for the description field in case you want to share those payments in your feed for some reason.
