Plex adds podcasts and personalization so you never have to leave the home screen

<em>Plex for iOS and Android are getting overhauled interfaces and podcast support.</em>

Today Plex is releasing an entirely redesigned mobile experience on iOS and Android. The new apps offer improved navigation, and full control over how your movies, TV shows, music, photos, and, now, podcasts(!) are organized on the most personal of personal devices that you own. I've been testing a pre-release version of the iOS app and podcast service for a few days and let me tell you, these changes are welcome.

First, podcasts. Plex podcast support is basic right now. You can do all the stuff you'd expect — search and subscribe to your favorite shows, discover new podcasts through Plex's recommendation engine, skip forward and back a few seconds during playback, and play your shows at unnatural speeds if you're a monster. We won't see a 'universal' vape oil cartridge anytime soon

Pre-loaded cartridges of cannabis concentrate are currently among the most popular means of consumption, and for good reason. They're discreet to use and easy to handle, a far cry from the dark days of 2016 when we had to dribble hash oil or load wax into narrow-mouthed vape pens by hand. But, frustratingly, an ever increasing number of oil cartridge manufacturers employ one-off design standards so that their products won't work with those of their competitors, thereby locking customers into proprietary ecosystems.
