Motorola might release a 5G Moto Mod with a new flagship phone

Motorola, under the ownership of Lenovo, may be releasing a 5G Moto Mod that adds an unsightly antenna lip to the back of the phone, as spotted by XDA-Developers. Motorola is due for a new leading device, and so the Moto Z3 Play appears to be on the way with specs befitting a midrange Android 8.1 Oreo phone.

Some of the leaked specs include a Snapdragon 636 processor with 4GB of RAM, a 3,000mAh battery, 6-inch 18:9 FHD+ AMOLED display, dual cameras on the back, and microSD card support with 32GB or 64GB built-in storage options.

For reference, Moto Mods aren't a new development for Motorola phones — they've been around for three device generations — but they haven't really seen niche success...
