Samsung’s DeX pad will be available on May 13th for $99.99


Samsung today announced timing for its new DeX Pad, the company’s docking device that transforms a Galaxy smartphone into a PC-like workstation. It’ll go on sale on May 13th for $99.99 in retail stores, although preorders open today on Samsung.com. Any order of the Galaxy S9 or S9 Plus through Samsung’s website will also come with a free DeX Pad.

As a reminder, you can set your phone flat on the Pad to use it as a trackpad or keyboard. The S9 supports external displays up to 2K resolution, and Samsung says it has signed up between 30 and 40 partners to make DeX-optimized applications, including Square Enix’s Final Fantasy XV, Microsoft Office, and some Adobe products.
