Facebook wants a social media Supreme Court so it can avoid hard questions


If there’s a single theme that dominates Ezra Klein’s fascinating interview with Mark Zuckerberg today, it’s accountability. In the 18 months since the 2016 election, the world has belatedly come to grips with the unintended consequences of social media. And yet it’s only beginning to ask who should be held accountable — and how they should be held accountable — when the worst happens.

As Klein points out, Facebook’s failures have consequences on par with government failures. The integrity of elections is threatened; violence is incited; key communication channels are jammed by bad actors. We won't see a 'universal' vape oil cartridge anytime soon

Pre-loaded cartridges of cannabis concentrate are currently among the most popular means of consumption, and for good reason. They're discreet to use and easy to handle, a far cry from the dark days of 2016 when we had to dribble hash oil or load wax into narrow-mouthed vape pens by hand. But, frustratingly, an ever increasing number of oil cartridge manufacturers employ one-off design standards so that their products won't work with those of their competitors, thereby locking customers into proprietary ecosystems.
