More than a week after other services pulled the plug on Alex Jones and InfoWars , CNN reports that Twitter has given the personality a one-week suspension. The move came after a Periscope video session where Jones told viewers "now is time to act on the enemy" ahead of a "false flag" attack. His ability to tweet and retweet is gone for now, although the @RealAlexJones account is still visible and he can read things on the site. After Facebook, YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts and Vimeo dumped InfoWars content people have pushed for Twitter to do the same, however it has declined despite being notified of tweets that broke its rules . Following a rumor last month that Verizon could partner with Apple or Google for TV tie-ins on its rollout of 5G wireless internet, the company announced it has deals with both. The 5G Residential Broadband service it will offer in Houston , Los Angeles , S acramento and Indianapolis will offer promotional packages with an Apple TV 4K box, and a tie-in with the streaming YouTube TV service. While Verizon did not announce details, according to Bloomberg sources customers will either be able to choose a free box or a free subscription. The report indicates customers can also choose streaming packages from the NFL, NBA or (the Verizon-owned parent company of Engadget) Oath. Adidas has partnered with Twitter on a new series that will livestream high school football games happening all over the country on the social network. Titled, naturally, Friday Night Stripes , the show will broadcast friday night games throughout the sport's regular season from September 7th until November 9th. The show will be announced by ESPN's Courtney Lyle with analysis by he Green Bay Packers' A.J. Hawk, while YouTube star Cameron "Scooter" Magruder will report from the sidelines. Amazon is finally ready to show more of The Romanoffs than its all-star cast . The internet behemoth has posted a full-fledged teaser trailer for the Prime Video anthology series, and it's evident that the show is equal parts serious and irreverent. This definitely isn't a historical piece. Rather, it's a look at the seeming ridiculousness of people around the world as they claim to be descendants of the last Russian royal family. Moviepass parent Helios & Matheson has quietly posted its quarterly earnings report , revealing that operating losses have ballooned from less than $3 million this quarter last year to $126.6 million in the three month period ending June 30, 2018. Losses undoubtedly stem from Moviepass' struggle to generate revenue from its theater subscription service, which launched just under a year ago for $9.95 a month after the company sold a majority of its stake to Helios & Matheson. It took a while, but Reebok's first plant-based shoes are ready for your feet -- the company is now selling limited numbers of the NPC UK Cotton + Corn through its website for $95 a pair in unisex sizes. You'll have to be happy with a lone "natural/chalk" color combo, but you can feel better knowing that 75 percent of the shoe is made from USDA-certified biological material. The upper is made entirely of the shoe's namesake cotton, while the sole is made from a corn-derived biobased TPU (DuPont's Susterra Propanediol). Even the insole is made from castor bean oil, and Reebok avoids using dyes to maintain the shoe's eco-friendly credentials. Verizon today announced that Google and Apple will be its first video streaming launch partners when the telecom's 5G broadband service arrives later this year. It also revealed its fourth and final launch market, Indianapolis, which joins the previously announced Houston, Sacramento, and Los Angeles. The announcement today confirms a previous rumor late last month ; customers who sign up to Verizon's 5G home internet service can choose to receive a free subscription to YouTube TV or an Apple TV 4K device (but not both.) After the New York City Council passed legislation proposing a cap on all ride-hailing vehicles, mayor Bill de Blasio signed it into law today. This makes it the first US city to limit the total number of drivers working for Uber, Lyft and other services. The cap specifically limits the number of licenses granted for ride-hailing purposes, though those with wheelchair-accessible vehicles will still be able to sign up. Uber claimed last week it would reach out to tens of thousands of already-licensed employees from other services to make up the difference.
