Donald Glover might have done a bang-up job as Lando Calrissian, but we're sure fans would still love to see the character's original actor again. According to The Hollywood Reporter , that's exactly what's happening in Episode IX . Billy Dee Williams is reportedly reprising his role as the slick, cape-loving smuggler in the main Star Wars movies' next installment. The last time Williams portrayed Calrissian on the big screen was in Return of the Jedi back in 1983, though he's voiced the character in cartoon series and video games since then. Drive director Nicolas Winding Refn has taken his sweet time launching his free cult film streaming service , but it's finally here... almost. As part of an editorial in The Guardian , Refn has confirmed that ByNWR should officially launch later in July. There are only four movie s available at first. Microsoft is getting back into the cheaper tablet game today with the new Surface Go, a smaller, less powerful take on the popular Surface Pro device. The Go features a 10-inch screen, integrated kickstand, Windows 10, and a similar design to the Surface Pro, and starts at $399. It is available for preorder starting July 10th and will ship in August. After intense speculation, President Trump said today that he has selected Judge Brett Kavanaugh as his nominee to succeed retiring Justice Anthony Kennedy. In his announcement, the president introduced his nominee as a jurist with "impeccable credentials" and as "a judge's judge." Kavanaugh, who was nominated to the US Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit by George W. Bush, where he currently serves, certainly has a notable, if likely controversial, record on tech policy issues. Now, UK-based Modal Electronics (makers of high-end boutique synths) is looking to enter the category with a new under-$300 synth called SKULPT , which is set to go live on KickStarter July 13th. The tiny SKULPT is a 4-voice polyphonic virtual analog synthesizer equipped with eight oscillators (per voice) and two waveforms that produce a wide variety of sounds. It has a host of control, too, with modes for monophonic, duophonic and polyphonic sounds, an eight-slot modulation matric, three envelope generators and two audio rate LFOs. It's taking the racer to the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the south of England this week, with designs on setting not only the electric car record at the Goodwood Hillclimb, but perhaps the overall benchmark too. Jonny Cocker set the time to beat for electric cars with a time of 47.34 seconds behind the wheel of a Lola-Drayson B12 69/EV in 2013. YouTube is adding "authoritative" context to search results about conspiracy-prone topics like the Moon landing and the Oklahoma City Bombing, as well as putting $25 million toward news outlets producing videos. Today, the company announced a new step in its Google News Initiative, a program it launched in March .
